Wedding photographers love detail shots. We know you spent your energy picking out the perfect invitations, jewelry, shoes, and florals. We want to capture all those glorious details for your album!
If you love wedding details as much as photographers do, then be sure to set aside these 5 items aside for when we first arrive!
THE RINGS.
The most important part! Both the Bride and the Groom's rings should be included in the details box. Include a ring box or tray if you have one you'd like included!
ALL THE ACCESSORIES.
Include the groom's watch, custom cufflinks, your earrings, any hairpieces (unless they'll be installed before I arrive), garters, or any other special details you'd like to memorialize. Pro tip: if there's special socks for the groom, don't wear them until the pictures are done!
THE STATIONERY
Include any custom stationery (including envelopes) that you made for your day. The most important piece will be the invitation. If you have vow books you love, add those in too!
SHOES
Include both the Bride's and the Groom's shoes! Now these are something you should wear before the day. You know, to avoid blisters.
"DISCARD" FLORALS, FABRIC, OR RIBBON
Ask your florist if she can provide you with a few extra blooms or bits of greenery to include in your details. (Keep these fresh in a vase or bag with a wet paper towel until your photographer arrives!). Scrap lace from your alterations, ribbons, or even bridesmaid dress swatches can be included as well.
